Queues

The Queues screen allows one to see the files being transferred. After a rule has scanned, if there is work to be done, it will be passed to the Queue. Administrators can monitor the transfer process, abort a transfer or place the files into a Hold For Release [HFR] state. 

This screen displays the CUTID or Playlist name being transferred, the Destination being copied to, the Operation and Status. There are other information fields for Queued Time, Rule Type, Byte Count and X-Tra Information. Each file entered into the Queue is given an ID to mark it’s ‘place in line’ to be processed.

The main Queues window will default to the Medium Priority Queue for the Medium Transporter. Selecting one of the other Priority Queues will display any activity for that Transporter.

 

The display and button functions are as follows:

Button or Option

Function

Abort button

Stops current transfer for the highlighted cut if processing.

Active/HFR (Hold For Release) button

Holds entries in the list but does not transfer them. The files Status will change from Waiting to HFR. If one wants to pause all of the items in the Queue window, one should check the Apply Operation to Entire List box, then press HFR. 

Delete

Removes the entry from the Queue preventing the transfer.

Apply Operation to Entire List box

Selecting this applies the Abort, Active/HFR, and Delete button function to the entire Queue list.

Enable Refresh box

If checked, the Queue list will constantly refresh with updated information.

Track List Top box

When checked, the Top of the list will always be highlighted, allowing one to view the events currently being processed.

Track List Bottom box

If selected, causes the listing to always show the last event, allowing one to view the newest events added to the Queue.

Max. List Items

Sets the maximum number of items that will be listed in the display.  Default it 250 items.

Select Queue One can select which Queue to monitor. Most rules are created by default with the priority of Medium. If one were to create a rule with a priority of High or Low, one would select the appropriate option to monitor that priority Queue.
