Reporter

The Reporter window displays a listing of the files Gateway has performed work on.

 

This screen displays the Start and End time of the processed event, Source and Destination file name, File Size and the Destination location. Other key information fields are also listed such as Operation, Status, Error and Reason for transfer.

If the file has been transferred successfully, its status will be ‘Completed’. If the file failed to transfer, an error will be displayed. This screen also allows an administrator access an error log text file, listing items that were scheduled to complete but could not complete because of missing file information or other reasons.

The display area adds the newest item at the end of the list.  To display the oldest item in the list first, uncheck the Track List End box and scroll to the top of the list.  Keeping the Enable Refresh box checked will cause the listing to constantly refresh.

The display and button functions are as follows:

Ensures the most recent item is displayed within the display area.

If checked, the Reporter list will constantly refresh with updated information.

Max List Items

The number of items displayed at one time in the list area.

View Error Log

Opens and displays the Error.TXT file. The scanner must be disabled to open this file. More details on Error logs can be found here

Flush To

Flushes the list items to the file specified.

Close

Exits the Reporter window.

 

Meanings of the Operation codes are as follows: 

Operation codes:

COPY = File Copy
RA = Record & Audio
A = Audio
R = Record
P = Playlist
C = Command

To view the reason why an entry appears in the listing (for example, a rule was forced), highlight the entry.  The reason for transfer appears in the ‘Reason’ field.

For example:

Reason Message Message Meaning
Aux Cut record not on file Gateway does not have a record of transferring this file in it's CutsAux database.
Detecting differing audio files (Remote Size) A difference in audio file size between the Source and Destination. 
Detecting differing cut records. There is difference between the Source and Destination database records.
Detected differing cut records. Detected differing audio file. Both the database and audio file have differences in their records and size.
