Transporters
Clicking the Xporters button displays all currently installed transporters. Gateway must have at
least one transporter set in order for Gateway to transfer files.
A transporter is a device internal to Gateway that moves files. One transporter moves one file at a time. Gateway comes with one transporter and up to 14 additional transporters can be purchased. Each transporter can be set as low, medium, or high priority in order to determine which queues it will service.
A transporter, based on its priority, monitors the appropriate queues for work to do. When it finds something in one of its queues, it attempts to do the work (for example, copying data from the host to the destination).
One should note that at least one transporter should be set for the lowest priority level set in all of the rules. For example, if a rule has been set with a LOW Priority and you only have a single transporter (default), then set the Active Low Priority Transporters to 01. This will allow the Low Priority rules to be processed along with both Medium and High priority rules. In this case, the Medium and High would be set to 00.
The Set button saves the current transporter settings. The Close button closes the Transporters window without saving any changes. The Abort button stops any current transfers for the highlighted transporter.
When the three transporter fields are set as desired, click the Set button to save the transporter settings. To exit the Transporters window, click the Close button.
