PADapult, PADLive and RAMA

PADapult is a program that is designed to work in conjunction with an automation system by allowing one to send real-time text data out to primary and secondary HD-Radio channels, RDS encoders, Web streamers or any other location that can accept data. Administrators can also configure PADapult for use with iTunes Tagging.

PADapult allows for one to run the application in an Automatic mode, which simply passes the data directly or in a Manual mode, which allows for users to manually enter text data to be sent out.

One can also schedule messages that can be interleaved between the Now Playing data.

PADapult can be run on a standalone workstation or can co-exist on the workstation running the automation system.

Administrators have the option of purchasing more licenses of PADapult, allowing them to run multiple instances on a single computer.

In addition to PADapult, PADLive allows one to easily send messages out to RDS, HD or other data channels. PADLive can be installed on any computer and communicates directly to PADapult.

RAMA is the award winning package that includes the a 1 rack-unit computer and PADapult. This package allows administrators to remotely connect and configure PADapult via a simple web based interface.

Group Administrators can quickly and easily roll out multiple units that are pre-configured for that facility.

Group or Network Programmers can use RAMA as a means to output data from the Headend location to multiple sights downstream.

The local affiliates would have a RAMA unit receiving the data from the Network.

This allows Local facilities to update their HD PAD, RDS and Web Streams with local and network based material.

IMPORTANT: PADapult 11.0a uses the Ibiquity PSDGen API for the 4.5 version Framework. The 4.5 version Framework is compatible with all 4.5 Main Program Services [MPS] components.

When used with an HD Radio Importer, one must ensure that the Importer is running at least version 2.1.5P1 with a SPS Capture Client_v3p0 or higher. Exciters must be running OS Version 7.1 and IRSS version 2.3.3 or later. One should contact the equipment manufacturer for more details concerning Importer / Exporter / Exciter software versions

For Pre-Version 4 versions one can check the Pre-V4 option within the Destination within PADapult. This allows data to be sent using Pre-4 methods.

All users should verify with the equipment manufactures the versions of firmware and software on all components. Miss-matched versions could result in a lack of Program Associated Data or other issues.
