Welcome to DAD
Welcome to the ENCO family. ENCO DAD, is the Basic Automation system for National Public Radios Content Depot.
This system will automatically scan and inject audio files that have been transferred from NPR's Public Radio Satellite System [PRSS] Content Depot. These audio files will be placed into DAD where they can played back at a later time. Scheduling the playback of the file is done via a Playlist. Users will be able to create their own custom playlist based on their station needs.
While the Basic Automation system is very simple in it's nature, a powerful automation system lies directly under the simple surface. This allows users the ability to harness the same software as other facilities to perform advanced automation routines. Administrators should note that DAD is modular and can be expanded upon at anytime allowing for continued growth.
This Online Manual directly discusses the setup, configuration and use of DAD in conjunction with Content Depot. The Basic Automation system has been pre-configured from the factory for ease of use and integration. While there are many options available to the user, this manual only discusses the options configured for the Basic Automation system. If one should wish to customize the Basic system or learn more about the power of DAD, please feel free to review the expanded OnLine DAD Help.
