DAD Security
Comprehensive, flexible and easy to use, the security system offers password-encoded lock out protection of over 200 different program functions, covering virtually every function and feature of the DAD. Functions and features can be locked or unlocked in any combination. A unique security user file, with password protection, can be created for each of the system's individual users, allowing them access to only the features and functions that are suited to their operational needs.
Enabling security provides security not only to your system, but to its users as well. A properly configured security system greatly reduces the chances of operator error, like accidental deletions or incorrect switch settings.
Note: Security settings within DAD are system wide.
SUPER and DEF32 Security User Files
Two security user files are provided with DAD, the SUPER security user file and the DEF32 security user file. One can copy the DEF32 security user file to create additional security user files.
The SUPER security user file allows access to ALL features and function of DAD and was designed for Security Administrators.
The DEF32 security user file by default is not restricted to any of the DAD functions.
To increase or restrict the functions available to a DEF32 user, modify the settings in the DEF32 security user file and save it.
By default, once security is enabled, DAD will automatically load the DEF32 user.
| NOTE: The DEF32 user should NOT have a password assigned to it. |
