Expert Posts: 13082 Location: Southfield Michigan	Version: 9.2c.344 Team ENCO is pleased to announce that version 9.2c of the ENCO Applications package is now available for download and general use. The single setupENCO-92b.exe package handles both New Installs and Updates for Windows 2000 and Windows XP Pro only (and Windows 2003 Server for utility apps). We are highly recommending the use of Windows XP Pro (service pack 3) with a min of 512MB RAM. Vista (in any form) is not recommended at all. Windows 7 is being tested and will most likely be supported soon. This bundled package includes: DAD, GateWay, DropBox, CutServer, AudioCVT and most ENCO utilities. There are no separate installers for these applications that were previously released independantly of each other. A UNIQUE REBUILD (UR) is REQUIRED if updating to this version from anything prior to 8.1a! If already running 8.1a or later - no UR is required (but is always recommended). There have been no database changes since 8.1a. Remember when doing a UR, all applications (DAD, DADpro, DADpro32, Gateway, DropBox, CutServer, etc.) must be exited so that one machine may gain exclusive access to the CUTS database (library) so a UR can run. Updating any DAD on a network to 8.1a or later requires ALL DAD's using that network database be updated to the same version!! 8.1a thru 9.2c users can be mixed on the same network. We also highly recommend rebuilding your Quick Search database/index whenever doing a UR. Contact ENCO Support if you need assistance with any of this. If upgrading from prior to version 4.0a, we recommend the download and use of the latest CheckDAD utility to "pre-check" any machines you plan on updating. The latest DAD additions and corrections: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Completely new CD Ripper implemented in Library->Add->CD RIP. Support for newer devices, auto detection, etc. New utility for Public Interactive Reporting added to c:\dad\progs\PIrep Similar to the c:\dad\progs\SoundExchange utility - but formatted to PI requirements New OutBox utility for marking cuts within DAD for auto-copying to external folders (as [title].[ext]) in c:\dad\progs\OutBox Think of it as a reverse DropBox... Presenter items: - "static text" fields are user definable using these CFI settings: [Presenter] STATIC_TEXT_PLAY=your text STATIC_TEXT_SEARCH=your text etc. note: does not support dynamic text (title, artist, cut, etc.) - Corrected the Presenter->Library->Refresh button - now properly refreshes the library when non-CutServer based - Added full support for HTML Scripts. Also added support for URL's being displayed when cut is Auditioned - Corrected a duplicate display of a cut loading after a Chain event - No longer skipping first cut in a Playlist when loaded via a DCL while Presenter is playing - Corrected an item with deleting an idle cut in Slot 1 - New CFI entries for controlling defaults Superplay: [Presenter] SuperPlay_Type=2 (transition type) [Presenter] SuperPlay_Trans=1.00 (transition duration) DCL: Select Machine Library now forces the Library that pops up to be "on top" of other windows Corrected an issue with Move/Put in playlists - DAD didn't like it if the user took over 60 seconds to the PUT Corrected some issues with drag-n-drop into a playlist and general playlist modifications introduced in 9.2b The Start/Kill dates for a nested Rotate cut (a rotate within a rotate) are now properly evaluated. Only Active nested rotate cuts will play Alert Messages are now limited to 253 characters (between the ticks) - limit used to be 99 Introduction of the Play History grid Available via RightClick->Play History Also available as a display within the Presenter History tool Use: CFI [Playback] Log_History = TRUE to log entries to History.dbf Use: CFI [Playback] StationID = to specify which station this workstation writes history entries for Use: PlayHist.INI in \dad\files to specify which stations to list within the grid Anyone with an old History.dbf should delete this file before using 9.2c Corrected an improper mute and fade-in after a Voice Over in Tracker when using Ducking and Logarithmic fades Corrected the loss of ability to close a DAD "machine" with Alt-F4 and Escape that was inadvertently turned off in 9.2b Cues Machines will now properly FF and REW when using ASI audio cards Major changes to Hot/Shot to allow for multiple pads (HS0 in multibank mode, HS1/HS2 in single bank mode) PADapult now supports the iBiquity HD Radio PSDGEN API Version 4.5 - which supports both 1.0 and 2.0 HDR for Exporters running pre-Version 4.
