Lessons from DAD: Asplay Search

DAD logs what cuts it plays to a file called an Asplay. You have likely used these Asplay reports as a means of reconciling with your traffic software or to confirm what played at a certain time. Did you know that you can search these logs easily and produce a smaller report for a particular cut?

By using the AsplaySearch application, you can now quickly find a cut in the Asplay log by cut number or by the title of the cut. Better yet, you can search across multiple days Asplay logs by setting the time frame within the application. You can even discriminate by location so you can see what workstation played the cut you are searching.

AsplaySearch can be run without a security key thus making it possible to run reports without tying up a DAD workstation. Find AsplaySearch in the DADProgs directory. For more information about AsplaySearch, contact ENCO Systems Technical Support at (248) 827-4440.
