Tunein Radio lists over 100,000 radio stations’ online streams and many of our clients have taken advantage of the Tunein radio website or mobile application. For those stations that are using Tunein Radio, you might not be aware that ENCO’s PADapult can send metadata to the Tunein stream to be paired with your live broadcast.
PADapult can send metadata to Tunein using an HTTP message. In PADapult, a user would create a Tunein destination and select to send an HTTP message using the GET method. The URL would be the address explained in Tunein’s AIR API and is custom per each stream. Typically, the address will include four tags. The available tags are title, artist, album, and commercial. PADapult would use the currently playing title, artist, and album for these tags. The commercial tag is either true or false and can be appended to the address based upon the group to which the cut belongs.
For more information regarding setting up PADapult for use with Tunein Radio, refer to the documentation on the ENCO support knowledgebase.
