LAS VEGAS — The enCaption live automated captioning and translation solution, manufactured by ENCO, is the recipient of Future’s Best of Show Award, presented at the 2025 NAB Show by TV Tech.
Future’s Best of Show Awards are evaluated by a panel of engineers and industry experts, and are selected based on innovation, feature set, perceived value and application in serving the industry.
Winners receive a crystal-glass trophy for display at the NAB Show and will be featured in TV Tech, winners will also be featured in promotional material for the awards which includes online articles, newsletters, social posts and subscriber-facing emails.
ENCO showcased a powerful new AI-driven voice fingerprinting solution at NAB, that detects and identifies each speaker in real-time, based on each speaker’s unique vocal characteristics. It analyzes the pitch, timber, accent and speaking style of each individual and uniquely identifies them as they speak, prefacing their captions with their names in real-time.
This technology hits a new benchmark through its AI-powered functionality, adding a truly novel function to the captioning and translation workflow through a single-stream audio mix that dynamically identifies each speaker. It’s the latest in a series of enCaption breakthroughs developed through ENCO’s adoption of AI, which is driving the company’s innovation lifecycle.
“The products nominated for the Best of Show program, provide an outstanding overview of new technology on the show floor and shine a spotlight on the very best,” said the awards editorial team.
“We’re incredibly proud of the advancements we’ve made with enCaption, and winning this award underscores our commitment to innovation,” said Ken Frommert, President, ENCO. “The addition of real-time voice fingerprinting represents a major leap forward in making live captioning and translation even more accurate, accessible, and personalized. It’s a perfect example of how we’re harnessing the power of AI to solve real-world broadcast challenges, and we’re honored to be recognized by TV Tech and Future’s Best of Show Awards for this achievement.”
