Technical Details
- Transmission endpoint SDI embedding
- 1RU rack-mount SDI embedder
- Low-latency audio CODEC, mono 8 kHz via UDP / SRT protocols
- Supports SMPTE CDP & Grand Alliance and common “Ctrl-A” protocols
- Automatic translation of received CEA-608 (Line 21) data to DTVCC data, and CC1 to CC4 channels are translated to configurable service numbers (when applicable)
- Conforms to the following CC specifications: CEA-608-E: Line 21 Data Services, CEA-708-E: Digital Television (DTV) Closed Captioning
- Can support EBU Teletext / OP-42 / OP-47 / ST-2031 caption output (conforms to ETSI EN300706, FreeTV Australia OP42 & OP47, and SMPTE ST-2031)
Flexible Endpoint Hardware Options
At transmission, choose from either a dual-SDI path 1RU unit with redundant power supplies, or a full-blown server including additional ASR-ready capabilities to serve as a 100% on-prem AI-based captioning engine for redundancy.
Easily Deployed
Our proxy service is designed to be a transparent “traffic cop” between your captioners and transmission endpoint, which you can administer to link your resources seamlessly.
CloudCap™ delivers your program audio to the captioning source along with a proxy video stream option for added captioner confidence, and returns the text data back to your uplink location for embedding via ENCO’s FPGA-based embedders with less than one microsecond video delay, a fail-safe SDI bypass relay, and a suite of software-defined capabilities.
