Georgia Public Broadcasting encompasses 18 stations today, with two program streams shared across the widespread network. Mix in the need to fire 18 stations IDs an hour and manage local content insertion for unmanned stations, and it’s no wonder that operations puts emphasis on reliability and ease of use when it comes to automation. Long an ENCO customer, Georgia’s NPR network opted to upgrade to DAD Version 15 this summer in the midst of a complete workflow overhaul. The upgrade provided access to some of DAD’s latest innovations; from automated file transfer via Version 15’s Dropbox utility, to enhanced field production via iDAD mobile connectivity.
